So kids, today's lesson is this:
Veronica...is an idiot.
She was in woodshop, cutting a curve in a piece of wood, when that wood hit a knot and the machine sort of jerked the wood (

) and my hand slipped forward, sending my thumb on an angle right to the blade.
As a shock to me, I calmly turned off the machine and walked to the sink, the running water instantly turned red, and the blood poured out from my thumb down my arm (and on my jeans

)
I asked this kid about 2 feet from me to get the teacher and he just stared at me like i had a three heads, so i asked him again, and he noticed the blood, and continued staring. So, I called the teacher over myself.
Then, this boy Jason that had stood me up about a month before came over to look at what happened. He is around 6'5" and 250+ pounds...he ran like a pussy.
The teacher gave me gauze to apply pressure to my thumb with, my friend Eric Starke took me down to the nurse (he was more scared than i was) where I sat for 20 minutes, bleeding profusely while the nurse sat on the phone with what sounded like her daughter...nevermind that i'm bleeding, no...keep talking about your plans for this evening.
Then the crazy psycho former Dr. Cavorkian (sp?) nurse cleaned my thumb with this crap that burned like all hell. She then had to, "see how deep it is". So, she took two metal stick like things, rammed them into my cut open thumb, and pulled them both in separate directions...
it tickled...
I suddenly got light headed and almost fell, and she said i was "overreacting" to which i responded, "ok, i'll cut you open, shove the cut open even more and then you can sit here and cry"
she doesn't like me...
anywho, she said i needed stiches, so she called my mom, we went to the doctor and he said since i had such an amazing streak with bodily injuries (i've never broken a bone or had stitches *knocks on wood*) that it would be ridiculous to ruin it now, so i have butterfly stitches, and no use of my left thumb for about a week or 2...it kind of sucks
school nurses are idiots
